I like it and so does she.

This little guy seems to work well. I bough it to check the calibration of an aging wall oven, and it worked great for that. It is reasonably easy to read and responds fast. Best to put one of the racks at the top position and hang the thermometer from the rack. The base is too small to sit on the rack directly. A little bit bigger base would have made this easier. I would also have preferred just a little bit bigger numbers, as it was a little hard to see when I moved it to the back of the oven to check the corners. For the money this is a good unit.

Great oven thermometer. It is sturdy, accurate, and easy to read. I bought this item and the Cooper-Atkins 24HP-01-1 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Oven Thermometer. This Rubbermaid model is larger, much easier to read, and half the price of the Cooper-Atkins model. I will keep both of them to ensure accurate temperature readings, but this Rubbermaid model is much easier to read.

It did what I expected.

Use a flashlight to read it since it faces away from the oven light.

This item was a big help as I have had little experience with an electric stove. The person who lived in this apartment before used to bake cookies and he told me the oven was off by 40 degrees. After using the Rubbermaid oven thermometer, I found the oven was only off 20 degrees and was able to compensate for the difference. So I would highly recommend this product.
