Accurate. Fast adjusting. Must have for any one who bakes or uses the oven. Temp verified via infrared laser thermometer and it matched perfectly. Hard way to compare as infrared laser is to a specific spot and oven cools rapidly when door is opened but I used the back of the oven (metal) as the test spot for infrared and it matched this thermometer.

crucial to the oven

What I was looking for and what I like about this oven thermometer is that it registers temps below and right above a 100 F. That really helps in home yogurt production and is by far cheaper and less space consuming than investing in a yogurt maker.

I was skeptical about this item but decided it was a low risk purchase given the price. Well, it does the job. I measured it against a Thermoworks digital probe and only saw a 3-5 degree (Farenheit) difference, which to me is pretty good for a $7 thermometer. We'll see how long it'll last but for now I recommend this for what it is: an inexpensive alternative to a flawed or missing built-in oven thermometer.

Large easy to read.

Excellent little thermometer. I especially like that it is built to be hung with the face facing front whether it's on a wire stretching front-to-back or side-to-side in the oven.
